Using Both Cores For Rendering (X2)
Rendering my video project is taking a long time because only one of my cores is being used (Core 2 Duo). Is there a way to get Videostudio X2 to use both cores?

I have written about this in a variety of threads, the most detailed one being perhaps http://forum.corel.com/EN/viewtopic.php?p=183570#183570
Note that not everyone agrees that this works, though I can sit and watch the activity on Task Manager on my Quad 6600 and actually see the significant difference in activity across all four cores with Core Tuner activated...

I think it also depends on what formats you are rendering to/from. Some CODECs may take advantage of multiple cores and others may not. And, in some cases the CPU may not be the bottleneck.
