It's been a while since I used Ulead Visual Studio 11+ and everything was working well, then I received this error message:
Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime Library
Runtime Error!
Program:...ram Files\Ulead Systems\Ulead VideoStudio\vstudio.exe
This application has requested the Runtime to terminate it in an unusual way. Please contact the application's support team for more information.
I hope this is referring to you out there in cyberspace.
Yesterday, when this happened for the first time I uninstalled the whole program including the Bonus CD which has the InterVideo WinDVD8 and other components, defraged the hard drive, loaded everything again and it worked fine until this morning. Then when I tried to open it this morning I received the same Error Message.
Today, I tried just uninstalling the actual program not the bonus CD and it will not work. I received the same warning message.
Has anyone encountered this problem and have you discovered a quick way of repairing it without having to uninstall and reinstall the whole program and components?
Thank you for giving this your kind attention.
Phillip

Re: Runtime Error Message
I followed the instructions to search for Runtime Error Message as I have a similar problem. Firstly, my Advanced Search words the options differently: "Search for all terms or use query as entered" or "Search for any terms". Option one found none, option two found about 5700 choices, not 27!
Has anyone resolved the Runtime Error Message problem? I keep getting regular crashes with it on VS X2. I have bought a register cleaner which I had heard might help: it hasn't! I am finding the memory usage climbs very rapidly every time I click on an image or movie in my project & every time I play a segment or the whole project. The memory usage never drops back, so eventually I can get an Out Of Memory Error even with my 4GB. I'm not sure if this is related.
Please can you point me towards any discussions which might help? It's getting very frustrating!
Thank you.

Re: Runtime Error Message
Huh. I copy/pasted exactly what Steve had and this was what I got:
No posts were found because the word c+runtime is not contained in any post.
This forum search function sucks.

Re: Runtime Error Message
But if you search for just "runtime" you get a lot of responses!
(However I also agree that the search function has not improved with the upgrade to the new version of the Board software...
)

Re: Runtime Error Message
Thank you all for your thoughts. However, it doesn't get me any closer to solving the Runtime Error problem.
As far as I can see from searching the web, it affects lots of software, not just Corel, & it happens with Windows XP & Vista.
One post suggested downloading Microsoft Visual C++ 2008 Redistributable Package (x86). However, that is aimed at people with a computer that does not have Visual C++ 2008 installed & dates from Nov 2007. My computer is only a few months old: I assume it has the right stuff loaded already.
Also, none of the posts I've read seem to reach a satisfactory conclusion: there's no "thanks, that's fixed it"! They've just petered out.
Has anyone solved it - ever?
