when i try this tool,the area i removed from background shows a white area,i thought that all you would see is the background without what you removed.how do you fill in this area,so all you see is the background?

in photoshop pro 3,there is a tool to remove image,tree,etc. from background.
when i try this tool,the area i removed from background shows a white area,i thought that all you would see is the background without what you removed.how do you fill in this area,so all you see is the background?

i resolved issue after reading some of the things in the help menu,it comes down to doing a copy/paste after you use extracter tool
