DVD Movie Factory 2010 - Music behind menus

Post by tchur »

When using Video Studio 12 and the DVD Movie Factory associated with it, I could specify 'no music' when it came to editing the DVD menus. With the latest incarnation I find that if I try to remove/delete the music, the software refuses, telling me it 'is in use'!

Is there some way of cancelling the music so the menu does not have inappropriate loud music?

It would be nice to be able to choose ones own music, but the small selection of samples supplied are .mpa files (a form of mpg), but I can find no way of editing or creating them. Does anyone have any ideas or suggestions on this? I have tried various audio file conversion programs, but they produce nothing that Movie Factory 2010 recognises.

Thanks,

Tim.

Very frustrating for me as well. I ended up moving the default audio files for the program. From there I was able to add different music. MP3 files worked fine after I moved the others.

Thanks. I had already thought of using version 12 to produce the DVDs, but one always feels that when you spend the money you should get a program that works largely as advertised. Especially as I have just spent a vast amount of money (for me) on a PC to give me some decent speed.
