Dear Friends,
I just recieved my Video Studio ProX3 upgrade (Disk)---Have been using X2 for some time.
When I finally installed the PRO X3 I noticed right away that when I went into Transistions such as Mask--there was only 7 or so Mask Transistion-in the old X2-I had close to 40. In Titles I found maybe 20 or so templets for titles--in the old X2- I must have had close to 40 templets for various titles...So you see where I am heading with this---How do I add my much loved old transistions from the old X2 to the new X3??? I don't see anyway to copy and paste to the new X3. As for the titles---I could take the old ones from the X2--and save to my hard drive and then add them back....For the moment I have deleted the X3 program and went back to the X2. ANy onfo on this would be greatly appreciated.

You can copy transitions from older versions by using copy/paste from the VFT folder in your installations. Be careful though not to write over the new ones. Easy way to avoid that is make a back up copy of the X3 VFT folder, copy the VFT folder from X2, then copy the back up copy of the X3 VFT folder.

Sorry, going from memory as I am not at my own computer.
Try the VFX folder instead.

SJJ1805,
Still have problems with this. I did make copies of both VTF-Plug file and the Sample file from the X2---I saved them on my hard drive. Then I reinstalled the X3. I then pasted the VTF-Plug folder to the X3 - I actually renamed the VTF-Plug as VTF-plug1 and left both folders in the Coral X3 folder. Opened the X3 and still only see the same Mask transitions that now come with the X3. So that did not work.. I then replaced the VTF-X3 with the old VTF-X2 Plug to see what would happen---no change --only seeing the same Masks that came with X3.
I then went and opened the X3 and X2 VTF-Plug files and viewed them side by side to see is there was any differences between them--I cant see any difference at all. So I don't know what else to do--I would surel like to keep all the original Masks that I used in X2.
Any step by step instructs would be greatly appreciated--or should I just give up on this quest?
Thank you once again for your help.

Hi Ken,
I meant to write I had made copies of the VFX-Plug as SJJ described ----sorry--
but as noted earlier---I even went through both the X3 and X2 VFX-Plug files--and could see no difference. I did try to add the VFX-Plug from the X2 into the X3 ---but all I see are now the few samples of Mask--instead of the large roster I once had with X2.
Any further advice will be greatly appreciated.
