Categorize Video Clips

Hi,

I have a few hundered video clips on a timeline within one project in X2 that I would like to categorize. I was thinking of doing this by moving the clips to different overlay tracks based on their content, but this is problematic because the overlay clip shows up on the main clip and prevent me from viewing the next clip to be categorized. Is there a better way to do this or can I disable the overlay from showing on the main track?

I assume you are talking about the Preview Window. If you are in Project Mode then, yes, the overlay tracks will show instead of the main track because it is overlaying it. If you are in Clip Mode you should see whatever clip you have selected.
