Post by randazzo »

My Ulead Version X3 has installed itself automaticly in the Dutch language. But I want to use the Enlishg version.

Is this possible in any way?

When you commence the install you get a choice of what language to use. Looks like you have chosen Dutch which is the entry above English (American). Have you tried a complete clean re-install?

The installation asks which region I'm in. That's not the same as a language setting. This is being used by the program for choosing PAL/NTSC.

The installation in my case is from the very beginning in Dutch.

Where did you get your copy from - did you download it from a Dutch site - or from a UK or USA site, if you bought the boxed version online did you specify when you bought it that you wanted English - any one posting to an address in the Netherlands would automatically assume Dutch unless clearly specified otherwise. Did you buy it near your home - then again I would think the store would automatically stock the Dutch version.

I do not think there is any way to change the language once you have purchased a copy, that option would considerably increase the file size of the VideoStudio package.

I bought it directly from Corel USA. As I do with every update. Been using Videostudio since version 5. Alwyas the download version (english).

It's a bummer. It seems that the extra content material isn't available either.

BTW, All the language files are already there. It's just that Videostudio chooses the Dutch ones in my case.

I've observed the same with trial.
Crappy translation and no way to switch to English.
Another Corel success

Yes. I didn't mention that. It's crappy indeed.

Maybe it's time for me to have a look at other programs.
