Resulting interlacing once i've burnt my dvd & played ba

Hi i'm using ullead dvd workshop 2 ,
How can i get rid of interlacing (little lines on the picture)from my videos? which r mpeg 2 and they aren't captured of the programme,
Any options?

If your DVD is for viewing on a computer, it should be frame based. If for viewing on a TV, it should be Lower field first (usually, unless your AVI has been captured using a device that uses upper field first).

We need to know more before we can be more precise.
