Transparent Image

I use Photoshop. I am not very good on it, but I am learning.

An easy, and free, program is GIMP.

fngman,

In Photoshop, assuming that your Background layer (the locked layer at the very bottom) is white, or whatever color, click the 'eye' icon to Hide the layer. If the layer is already a Transparent background you don't need to hide it.

Now select File > Save for Web....

Then for the file format select PNG-24, and make sure that Transparency is checked. Select Save, that's it!
