Hello,

I've read all the items in this post but I have still one question:
Every time I want to use this plugin, pspx3 says it can't locate the particle.dll but that dll does exist in the pluginmap.
How can I resolve this problem? Or does this plugin not work with paintshoppro x3?

Greetings,
Marbi

Marbi, it does work in X3 I have tried it. However, the only way I could get it to work properly on my Windows 7 and Vista machines was to run Paint Shop Pro as Administrator otherwise it doesn't properly load the particle.dll file and returns an error.

Thank you Levifiction for your answer. I thought I already use pspx3 as administrator, but I'll look into this an try to find out.
It's silly, this plugin does work normal in psp9, but that version isn't so compatible with Windows 7. Thanks again for your help.

I've done all this but it still show the same error: unable to load particle.dll
I have copy the particle.dll also in the windowsmap. Are there any other options?

I was receiving the exact same error message and was ready to pull my hair out. Thank you LeviFiction - your direction to launch (run) PSP X3 as an administrator worked!!

Marbi - you may have already done this, but did you right-click your PSP X3 icon and select "run as administrator"?
PSPX9 | PSP2020 | PSP2021| PSP2022 | PSP2023 & PhotoMirage installed; PSPX | PSPX2 thru PSP2019 owned but not installed
