Hi,
I'm working with .MP4 files, created on a Samsung SMX-F30BP Memory Camcorder and Sandisk 8gb SDHC Secure Digital Card. My editing software is VideoStudio Pro X3, on Windows XP pro with 2gb of memory.
The files import fine into VSX3 but I only seem to be able to produce movies in the 4:3 aspect, even though all preferences are set to 16:9
VSX3 works wonders with other video file formats, so are there other settings I should be looking into for the Samsung MP4 files?
Many Thanks for any assistance.

Are the original clips shot in 4:3 or 16:9? Can you right click on one of the clips in the library or the timeline, then click "Properties" and type in here all the details shown.
When you open VS x3 does the bottom left small window on the Welcome Screen show 4:3 or 16:9?
What is you workflow to produce a "movie"? Do you go to Share then Create Disc or what?
