It's likely to be just me being inept, but I cannot work out how to get a Blu Ray disc to go to the disc menu from within WinDVD Pro 2010. I can get the little window under the "BDJ" button to present me with "Top Menu" and "Pop Menu" options, but clicking on them does nothing. The help provides no real help on this issue either, that I can see.
Without being able to reach the disc menu, I am forced to sit through all the trailers that the disc manufacturer believes I really want to watch, or have to skip through each one until I eventually happen upon the disc menu.
Is this how Blu Ray is supposed to work (I don't have a dedicated BR player to compare with, just the software and my laptop) and studios can now force us to watch trailers, or am I being daft and missing something?!
Thanks for any help,
Richard

i've watched a hundred blu ray movies from different studios using windvd & this problem is with all of them. personally, me thinks it's a bug within windvd itself, not the disc or the studio!
Players only love you when they're playing...

When you create a DVD or Blue Ray with professional authoring software, you are given the ability to force your audience to watch "first play" videos - such as that FBI "don't you dare copy this" notice and various adverts.
If you have a copy of DVD workshop then you will know what I mean.
This is a restriction placed by the author of the disc and not by the program.

That's not correct.
The dvd's I have tells me to hit MENU to SKIP the adds. Windvd does not have this, so problem is with Windvd.
I wish they would create such an option, because I do not have what it takes to be forced to watch adds, I have slight mental problems, so I have to ask someone else to get my movies to the main menu, it's not good.
Else I'm happy with how my plex works with it's oem apps
