The download doesn't give you the option to install just PSP X3 without the Project Creator. The disk (boxed version) does. I don't know about uninstalling, but you can install just X3 without that. It also lets you install Painter Essentials Photo 4 seperately, but that's true with the download as well.
Yea, I have the boxed version but I installed this mess already.
I see no way to uninstall it by it's self.
I would have to uninstall and reinstall the whole program.

I have tried this procedure and still cannot open anything else than the top level of "My Computer" and the "Deskboard". None of my files is aviable for treatment in Project Creator.

I tried my PaintShop Photo Project Creator after a few days of successfully using the procedure from Corel support. It again failed to list the photos, etc.
I once more deleted the files in Corel Digital Studio folder. Again this worked. But there definitely appears to be a bug that is causing the files in the Digital Studio folder to become corrupt.

Hopefully they will fix this in a future patch.
Did you actually find the Project Creator worth working with? Seems pretty limited to me.
Well, contacted Support regarding this, they're totally clueless, other than the standard form response, they suggested I create a new user with admin rights (I have admin rights) and reinstall. Did what they asked and SSDD, so unless I call them, they'll close the ticket as solved.
I can't be the only one having this issue. I'm in Tech Support myself and this is pretty lame..
My pictures "disappeared" as far as PaintShop Creator was concerned. I followed the directions of turning off the processes. The key for my Vista operating system was deleting the two files "Blacklist" and "MLE_GOLDEN_GATE" in the Digital Studio folder. These are corrupt and must be deleted so the software can once again grind away indexing your photos. Do not stop it while it is doing it. For me this is why it went corrupt. I wanted the hard drive trashing to stop and plugged the plugged. Oh well.
I don't know why Corel created such a process. I see no benefit. The photo list display is so I can drag them into the bottom tray. This a real dog in terms of speed. I have around 130 photos and just displaying them is very painful. It only actually displays a screen page or two. The other photos are icon place holders that you have to wait for the software to update once you page down to them. Other applications I use including Corel's Photo Album 7 run circles around this software in terms of speed. I think for projects I've tried, I really still prefer Album 7 over Photo Project Creator. I agree with other comments. I wouldn't worry too much if you can't get it to work. Unless this is the only software you have, you most likely won't use it.
