Easycap dc60/Ulead Video Studio 8.0

Post by cymroambyth »

Hi
Firstly I am a complete novice at Video transfer.

I recently bought EasyCap which included Studio 8.0.to transfer old VHS tapes to DVD.

I finally got it to work with a lot of help from a friend, after changing various connections and using it thro the microphone port on my computer.

At this stage I am able transfer from VHS to my computer and can playback on the Capture part of the program but the sound has a high level of reverb.

I now realise that the program is very old but is there anything I can do?

Hope someone can help.

Thanks
William

Is the VS the only software that was included? If the device has its own software to capture with it would be best to use that.

Using the mic port seems a little strange, considering the fact that the audio is your problem. I'm not familiar with this hardware, so I'll move this to the VS forum where it will receive more interest.

Sorry, but the EasyCap device is Adstech, if I am not mistaken, and it always comes with its own software, CapWiz, for capture. Use that,. instead of VS8 -- although that might have been tweaken by them to work with their device. But normally a crippled version of VS was boxed with the device only for editing purposes.
