Gday all
It seems that X3 might of had sufficient updates to allow use of more NewBlue FX filters. Under Video Essentials II on their website is mentions that the "Picture in Picture" filter is "Not available for Corel VideoStudio.", however X3 now includes that as a standard NewBlue filter.
Could it be that other NewBlue FX filters are compatable like "Chroma Key", "Image Mapper" (from VE III), and "Split Screen" (also from VEIII)?
Anyone know if this is the case? Thanks
NewBlue FX and VS Pro X3

Yes they should be. New Blue Sent an email out last week. It appears to be an update notification, so I downloaded them and installed. However it was intended for those that purchased their effects. If you had not purchased them, it was simply Trial-ware. Very difficult to remove. However in that email, it does provide for their plug-ins to be installed in Corel's programs..

Yep I got that email and read the post as well. Though this was after i did the update lol. So time will tell hehe.
I bought the Video Essentials II & III but the plugins like Picture in Picture, which supposidly dont work with Corel VS, was not in the package. I might drop them a line and see what they say.

I have Video Essentials II and II and here is the status:
1. Video Essentials II => donwload again the .exe file from NewBlueFX and install. The 2 missing filters will now appears in VS X3 and perfectly working. Note: regrettably, NewBLueFX did not increased the .exe file version, which is still "13" ( lucky number ?
) and this can simply puzzle the customers.
2. Video Essentials II => the .exe version is still teh same (as above). Originally, despite the message in the promotional email, the .exe still did not installed the 2 missing filetrs. I have got in touch with them and they fixed the issue (they uploaded a new version on the website... still with the same release number!). Downloaded again, and now the 2 missing filters appear... but they do not work (at least in my VS X3). I told this to their technical support but so far I got no answer.

I downloaded and installed again VE III.
Now the "split screen" filter works fine, but the "rolling shutter" filter looks like doing nothing.
And if I open the customize window, I can only see a "Reset to none" preset.
Also, changing the control values does not really change anything in the clip.
Does the "rolling shutter" filter really works with VS X3 ???
