I have no sound for my AVI. video formats.

Post by fsasnic »

Hey,

Just a question. I have been downloading youtube videos (converted from vixy.net) and the file output is a avi. file..they import to ulead videostudio 12 as usual but the sound on the files seem to be disabled. All other videos and audio files work but it seems to be just the videos from this converted site. Is there a codec I'm missing? because I've actually started this huge project and gutted when the volumn wasnt working, like the actual volumn option is frozen/unclickable.
Please help me out.
Thanks :)

Hi

Welcome to the forum

You don¡¦t give much to go on except it¡¦s a AVI file.
AVI is a container, an envelope to hold the video. There are lots of types, you do not give any details.
Right clicking the clip and selecting properties will show some info.

Does the video clip play on the pc using your media player???????????

Can you have a read at ¡¥ please read this before posting¡¦

Do you have copyright permission to do this?

Let's not open it, they're real stinky, messy critters...;)

I'd have to say that program somehow is not converting the audio. Could be a Dolby Digital issue, or just a weird mp3 compression. However that is something that you need to take up with vixy.net not here.
