Add bmp or jpeg stills in VideoStudio 9?
Is it possible to do this? Can't find any reference in the user manual.

It's been possible with all versions of VS. Unfortunately, I don't have VS9 installed any longer (incompatible with Windows 7), so can't tell you the exact command lines. But if you right click in the timeline, there will be something like 'Insert Photo'. You then navigate to where your photos are stored... Your photo will have a duration as set in Preferences, but to vary that just 'grab' the yellow bar at the right end of the photo thumbnail in the timeline, and drag it right to lengthen the duration, or left to lessen it.

Just like adding video clips, except you can set the duration to any length you want. Do you want them in the Main Video Track or the overlay track?
To add them you can first bring them into the Image Library, or directly onto a video track. Overlay tracks are considered video tracks, as you can not add titles or audio to them. If you want to bring in numerous photos, you can first create a special library for them.
Creating a Library:
To add them you can first bring them into the Image Library, or directly onto a video track. Overlay tracks are considered video tracks, as you can not add titles or audio to them. If you want to bring in numerous photos, you can first create a special library for them.
Creating a Library:
- Go to Tools>Library Manager, or Click on the drop-down arrow for the Library (default is set to Video), and select Library manager.
- In the Library Manager dialog under Available Custom folders, again click on the drop-down arrow to select Image.
- Press the New button on the right, and in the New Custom Folder dialog window give your folder a name, then press OK.
- You return back to The Library Manager dialog, press Close.
- Now in the Library section, press the drop-down arrow, select Image and a fly-out menu will be present with the name of the folder you created, select it.
- To the right of the Libraries drop-down you see a Folder icon, press it to Load the photos into the library. It will open a navigation window, where you can navigate to the location on your computer of the images you want to load. Select all that you want to use. This can be done using the customary windows short-cut keys.
- Once you have them loaded into the library, just drag and drop them onto the track of your choosing.
