DVD video

Post by juliart08 »

I am using VS Pro X3. How do I get video sections on a DVD-R to the program to edit some of them. I don't want the whole 42 min of video just some sections. I am using Windows XP.

Hi Juliart
Please try to be a bit more specific with your topic titles. DVD Video could mean absolutely anything. Perhaps "Downloading clips from a DVD" might have been a tad better.
Anyway try this;
In VS x3 Click: File > Import media to library > Insert digital media > Click your DVD drive in the drop down menu > Check the folder VIDEO_TS > Click OK > Select the VIDEO_TS folder > Click Start. This will show you the titles. Select the ones you want.
Be aware that if it is a commercial DVD it may be protected and you may not be able to import!
EDIT
Sorry forgot a bit . When you get to the Import Digital Media showing the clips you need to click the small square at the top left of each clip to select it. There is a selct all clips icon at the top right of the window but I don't think you want them all, do you?
Whichever you use when selected click Start Import button.
