VideoStudio 11Plus & VideoStudio PX3 - Should I Upgrade?

Post by oka »

I currently have VideoStudio 11Plus and DVD MovieFactory 6 and a Sony HD camcorder.

Just last week I got DirecTV, and a Sony LCD (HD) Television. I don't have the HD package, but I get the HD channels much more crispier than before. With the Sony HD camcorder, now I will be editing and burning HD DVD discs. I have always burnt a DVD (720) disc. There is a very, very slight chance I will ever go to the Blue-Ray format.

Now there is VS PX3. I read some of the new features (HD template, better Blue-ray handling, DVD MovieFactory 2010, etc). For $70, is it really worth it in my case :?:

The bad bit about VS x3 is "DVD MovieFactory 2010". The general concensus of opinion on this board is that it is useless. It certainly is for me as you can't turn off Menus. To use DVD MovieFactory 2010 you must insert a menu and I never use them. Well very very rarely. But new features are due shortly as indicated in Steve Jones' various posts on the subject. One is here, read the penultimate post on Page 1:
