Save as errors in PSProX

Post by Ken Veal »

This is what I am trying to do
Open a jpeg image in Paint Shop Pro X from a C: folder
Then edit it
Save as in another C: folder
This is what is happening
Things usually work ok the 1st time but after that the save as
box will take minutes to work and save the image , often the save
as box will turn all white.Other times it freezes and wont respond. It
happens when I am going up a level to find the destination folder to
save in
On ending the prog via the Task Manager these are the files that
were mentioned in the error report .
C:\docume~1\Name\locals~1\Temp\wer\5837.dir00paintshopproX.exe.ompmp and
C:\docume~1\Name\locals~1\Temp\wer\5837.dir00acppcompat.txt

This is my workflow
Double click image in folder A (.Single image at a time)
It opens on PSPro
Edit it in Paint Shop Pro X
Save as in folder B

Action taken to try and resolve or taken recently
Disc clean C: defrag , System, C: drive ,win doctor, virus and
registry scans and defrag.
Tried to find the above names files, were not in the Locals folder
And a search via start in XP home did not find them. Can these files
be deleted if so how do I find them and what else can I do to solve
this problem if that is not the answer.

Went to run then search with PSPro open with an image in it and it told me that there was no result to show.Is there any other way I can get to them.Could I drag and drop from PSPro to a my pics folder after I have made changes? Would the image in PSP have to be a thumbnail?,if so how do I display that
