Clarification: I am not a newbie in regards to video editing, just Video Studio ProX2.
Three simple questions about three basic functions I'm sure Video Studio has, I just cannot seem to figure out.
1. Painting Creator: How do I draw a straight line? Every Windows-based painting program I know of uses shift to make a straight line. I'm surprised the programmers chose a different way...now I cannot find it.
2. When I split audio from video, there are no markers that I can see or figure out how to add to help me keep things in synch.
3. When I split audio from the video, how do I export that audio for external editing of the sound? Or does it save it somewhere where I can just edit it?
Thanks for any help or guidance,
Joe

Q1. Painting Creator being able to draw straight lines...
No that's not possible, and might be a good one to add to our Wishlist.
Q2. Markers for keeping audio/video in sync.
VS has both Chapter and Cue markers. For more information see the on-line help.. VS X3 Pro Help.

Q3. Creating sound file from split audio..
To create a sound/audio file, just go to the Share step, then with your audio clip selected, choose Create Sound File. In the Create Sound file dialog window, give your sound file a name, choose the format, and a location on your system where you want the sound file saved to, and press Save.
There are some Options you can choose by pressing the Options button. You can choose to Create a sound file from your entire project, or if you have a Preview Range selected, you may opt to create a sound file from just the Preview Range. You can also select a Compression from the compressions tab.

Awesome, thanks
I see the post about new features, I'll add that, thanks!
Thanks for the Audio tip! I might have found that eventually.
As far as keeping the audio and video in snych, I need a way to mark the Video clip and the Sound clip, so if I move them around, I can always line up the markers and know they are in synch.
I tend to do a lot of takes from different angles to simulate multiple cameras. Every once in a while I use multiple cameras. So I end up splitting the audio so I can say, cut to another actor's expression as something is said, etc.
Thanks again for your help.
