X3 trial de-installation before installing X2 upgrade to X3

Hello,

I have one question.
On my PC, I have VS X2 Pro + X3 trial.
Now I bought the X3 upgrade and I wonder if (like mentioned for example in the case of X2), it is better to fisrt de-install X3 trial, and then run the X3 upgrade.
If this is the case, after de-installing X3 trial with the normal Windows operation, should I run the de-install program provided in this forum ?
I downloaded it, and just tried, but then stopped when I saw that it point to Video Studio de-installation... generic, no version... so, can it happen that this utility will remove in one shot both X2 and X3 ?
Any suggestion about a safe procedure for X3-trial cleaning + upgrade installation ?

Their are a couple of messages with instructions on uninstalling...

I left X2 and had VSX3 Trial that you are supposed to be able to make active/register but could not.

I uninstalled and re-downloaded another version with link sent form Corel.

I installed that with the supplied serial but still unable to ACTIVATE on the internet!!

Still trying......

I dont think I am alone with this problem either!!

Accolades, if you downloaded the Download version (as opposed to your original TBYB version, which is what I did), then the serial number they supplied should work with NO activation. Activation is only associated with the TBYB version, which they themselves say you should avoid...

When you entered the serial number in the second (Download) version, what happened?

Registration is quite a different process -- i.e. just getting your name listed against the serial number on the Corel account website. But it should not interfere with the program running properly.
