I should think Steve will post the details of this within a nano second of receiving it himself. No need to press himXyzzy2 wrote:So, do you know now what the solution will be?sjj1805 wrote: I cannot go into details at the moment because a number of alternatives are being considered and I would not wish to mislead or confuse our members.

If after a month details are not known, we are not going to see anything anytime soon.mitchell65 wrote: I should think Steve will post the details of this within a nano second of receiving it himself. No need to press him
I am asking because I have nice time-limited offer for a new version of another NLE that works really good, and I'd like to know if it is worth to wait, or switch right now & get a nice product PLUS good support.
Working with: Canon HF100+WD-H37II, Nikon D90, Samsung EX1

Perhaps if you contacted Corel direct you might get an answer to this. I can't see your logic in saying as we haven't heard within a month we are not going to hear soon, it just might come out tomorrow! Remember Steve nor any other members of this Board are employees of Corel so we are all in the same boat as it were!Xyzzy2 wrote:If after a month details are not known, we are not going to see anything anytime soon.mitchell65 wrote: I should think Steve will post the details of this within a nano second of receiving it himself. Whether you go for the alternative NLE is entirely your decision.

I really don't see any point in trying to get another answer that proves that the customer support person hasn't understood the question.mitchell65 wrote: Perhaps if you contacted Corel direct you might get an answer to this. Solution should be defined long ago, then it is implemented, tested and delivered. We don't get code the same day its definition is complete.
Steve stated that he was taking part in working out the solution, so he can know it.

I could be wrong but I don't think Steve is actually working on the solution. That's a Corel prerogative! Perhaps Steve will confirm if he gets chance to read this post.Steve stated that he was taking part in working out the solution, so he can know it.

There is a product that is in the beta phase. When it will be ready I do not know.
It's funny how people complain when something is released with bugs or underperforming parts, yet when something is being tested thoroughly to correct those things it is taking too long...
And why stick around with a company and a product that has disappointed you so when you seem to have the perfect solution?

I am not asking when it will be. I am asking what it will be. A difference.Black Lab wrote:There is a product that is in the beta phase. When it will be ready I do not know.

Mainly because learning and working out all details of workflow in a new software takes time.Black Lab wrote: And why stick around with a company and a product that has disappointed you so when you seem to have the perfect solution?

Because of confidentiality agreements we cannot talk about what it is. Either be patient or move on.

I agree. We can kick this about till the cows come home but we still won't know until Corel decide to tell us. So just let's wait and see.Black Lab wrote:Because of confidentiality agreements we cannot talk about what it is. Either be patient or move on.

Like Black Lab has already stated above.
The Beta team - of which I am a member ARE working on testing
"The solution" so please rest assured that it does exist.
The Beta team have had to sign confidentiality agreements and so we CANNOT release any hints about what that solution might be. I cannot say when the "Solution" will be released but it is more likely to be weeks rather than months, or if you prefer sooner rather than later.
I previously stated that it is in YOUR interests that Corel do NOT put out a knee j.erk reaction quick fix which is then itself found to be flawed and unpopular with the members of this Web Board. Rest assured that the Beta Team are not giving Corel an easy ride here and are doing our best to serve your interests to the best.
