Sony Vegas Pro 9

Post by rkartzinel »

I have been with VideoStudio since version 9, but having survived the issues with X2, I am reluctant to move to X3. If money is no object, how does X3 compare Sony Vegas Pro 9 for editing that comes with DVD Architect 9 for authoring? Does anyone have a recommendation for the next step above X3, other than using X3 for editing and X2 for authoring?

Despite the name, VideoStudio X2/X3 Pro is really a consumer grade application. A very nice one at that, even bordering on prosumer status (the exception, of course, being the atrocious authoring module in X3 - that's documented in many other threads).

With that said, you cannot compare the $100 VideoStudio with the $600 Vegas Pro which, indeed, is at least a very good prosumer product, bordering on a serious pro status.

Also, this is a forum bought and paid for by Corel. Discussing competition is discouraged, exept in the General Discussion section, which is where I will move this to in case anyone wants to comment on the OPs question.

Its quite easy....

Come to the Corel Web Board and we will tell you Corel is the best.
Go to the Pinnacle Web Board and they will tell you Pinnacle is the best
Go to the Adobe Web Board and they will tell you Adobe is the best

Do you get my drift?
