Yes. Installation was much the same as previous versions. I asked about my country and for the serial number, which was accepted and installation proceeded. But if it 'phoned home' to Corel, I have no idea. And checking my account on the Corel website, there is no registration showing for it.

I had same install procedure...

The Trial obvouusly does not ask for serial :-)

Still unable to activate on net (says invalid Serial!!) but now the activation screen does not come up and as previous message I have been able to DL additional content.

Registration/Serial does show in VS program.

I kept a hard copy of reciept when purchased online so still have ref numbers.. I suppose that is main thing.

I have always appreciated and supported Ulead/Corel but when the anti theft feature starts blocking what I have legitimately paid for then it may be time to go with the crack attack versions. The crackers are always one step ahead of all the futile attempts at security by all software designers. Honest people stay honest, well just because that's how they are. They outsmart only themselves with their so called securities most of the time. And when they start to frustrate legitimate customers with them.........

I guess my message is, go ahead and protect your software if it makes you feel better and you actually believe it's effective. But make darn sure it functions before releasing it and that the cure isn't killing the patient.
