Post by paulwho »

Hi,
Is it normal for your computer to lock up if you press the video camera button in the capture settings & the camera isn't connected ?

As far as I can recall, it is not normal that you get a reference to a video camera in the Capture settings unless there *is* such a camera connected. Can you give use a little further detail of exactly what steps you have followed?

That could happen because the computer is now attempting to connect to something that isn't there. This sort of thing also sometimes occurs when you try to connect to a website that isn't responding. Most of the time you get a message cannot find.... or cannot connect to.... or similar.
Occasionaly it just hangs up or freezes.
