Hi
Get the not responding message whenever I select, share, create disk, DVD etc. Have always had it but it then works and you eventually get to the next screen where you insert video file or project etc.
You always get it the first time in a session but subsequent attempts are fine (until you close the prog and re-launch).
I use Vista 32 bit and have plenty of RAM and disk space etc.
I have also downloaded the patch.
Just wondered if anyone else had this glitch.
Thanks
Tony

I've had similar things occur. It could be related to the complexity of your project, the types of video files being used in your project, and if you're trying to jump straight into the burn module using your VSP (project file).
One way to minimize this occurring is to alter your workflow. Create a video file from your project (Share>Create Video File>) NTSC or PAL MPEG2, then clear the timeline before going opening the burn module (Share>Create Disc) DVD.
While VS is capable of mixing several different video formats, sometimes it struggles with the highly compressed ones.

Hi
I have been brought up with the three eternal truths:
Project properties match clip
create separate mpeg
clear timeline etc etc
I always create mpeg file and then insert that into timeline having selected new project etc etc.
Thing is that I still get the message. Just an irritation really.
Thanks
Tony

x2 not responding
Hi Tony
As Ron mentioned I too have had the Not Responding, a little annoying but VS seems to think a while and resumes the process.
Usually if I have complicated or large projects. A large file of 8Gb may cause VS to pause a while.
Can you do this please:-
Start a new project
Share Create Disc ¡V DVD
Does this cause the not responding?
