I have been using Layer Styles Reflection in PSP X2 for some time now, recently it stopped working. (Not sure if it was after I went to windows 7.) No matter what I did I couldn't get it to work.
I would create a text (vector) layer, then double click the layer, select the Layer Styles tab, and check the Reflection check box. Right here nothing happens in the preview pane.
If I convert the vector layer to a raster layer and try the same thing again, nothing happens.
When I went looking for the problem on your web site I noticed PSP X3 had been released so I downloaded this hoping the problem would be fixed, but it does the same in PSP X3.
If I open a project I created earlier that has Layer Style Reflection in it, and go to the preview pane and uncheck Reflection, the reflection disapears and when I recheck it, the reflection doesn't come back. (PSP X2 and PSP X3)
Am I doing something wrong or is it an application problem with windows 7?

In the Layer Properties/Styles Tab, with the Reflection checked, have you tried moving it in the small window beneath the Size and Opacity settings controls? I find that it seems to disappear, however when you hover your cursor over the text in that little tiny window, it changes to a double-arrow, and then you can move it up or down. When doing this it re-appears.

I've spent a bit of time fiddling with this and I think I've figgered it out. What I have found out is:
1. You must have a very elongated background, otherwise the reflection will be off the page most of the time. (I tested with Width 300 Height 800 pixels)
2. You have to manipulated the mentioned red horizintal line very carefully to get the reflection to appear. The little tiny window with the adjustable red line doesn't mimic the position of the actual reflection image.
3. Now this is what causes the problem.
On the Layer Styles tab, with the reflection check box checked.
If you now go and select another choice, say 'Outer Glow', (just select it, don't check it) and then go back to and select 'Reflection' (just select it, don't check it) the red horizontal line jumps up and the reflection dissapears. So you now have to manipulate the red line to get it back.
Thanks.

Re: Layer Styles Reflection
I cannot get the reflect to happen, no matter how much I futz with it. I have tried everything listed above. I can generate a small preview in the box on the layer properties box, but the same will not happen on the image preview, and clicking okay doesn't make it appear either. I have used it once before, and it simply won't appear again. VERY frustrating. Windows 7
