I've recently tried to install InterVideo Home Theater along with the rest of my GameBridge software on my Windows Vista computer and found that, like almost everything else, InterVideo doesn't work with Vista. I'm wondering if VideoStudio could do the same thing, i.e. allow me to plug the gamebridge into my computer, the game console into the gamebridge, and then record the output of the console.
Alternatively, does anyone have any idea why the .local and .manifest files of Home Theater don't work properly even after cleaning the registry and why one of them (the .local, I believe) has a suspiciously low file size of 0 bytes?

I think the best suggestion is for you to do a Search of the forums and put in one of the following key words:
Camstasia
Fraps
Both these key words should get you in the region of 50 hits, you might get a few ides from those posts.

FRAPS is a program that will allow me to record what's on my computer screen. This does not solve my problem.
My problem is that I need to find a way to use the GameBridge I bought to play a Playstation 2 video game on my computer instead of a television. I want to know if VideoStudio (or any other Corel/Intervideo product, for that matter) will allow me to do this. One that works with Vista.

Have your tried running Home Theater under XP compatibility mode in Vista? I'm not familiar with Home Theater, but suspect that it was designed for XP. Try disabling Vista Aeros, running Vista with the Windows Classic appearance.
As for your Gamebridge device, it uses USB, which is a very poor means to capturing video. VS generally does not work well with USB capture devices. There are other USB video capture devices around that people try to use with VS to capture their video tapes, but must use the special software that comes with the device for capturing. Then once the video is captured, they use VS to edit. VideoStudio's main purpose is for editing.
So I don't think that Corel has any products now that will do what you need to do..
