Hello,

I'm a great user of PSP X3 (since version 4.3) for my business, I'm a webcoder and webdesigner.
I really love this soft.

Here are my suggestions for the next version :
  • Allowing to see size and position of an object (in pixel, inch or centimeter).
  • Allowing to modify size and position of an object using numeric values.
  • When I use Bezier, It's not possible work in zoom mode and drag an handle of a dot if it is out of the image zone. I must un-zoom to see the handle, it's not very easy to work
  • Allowing to snap object each other (not only the grid and helper line)
  • Allowing to delete a selection (raster mode) out of the border of the image (example : after inverting a selection of a raster layer greater than the image)
  • When I modify a selection by adding or removing a part with the "lasso" (or another selection tool) in zoom mode, if the mouse is going on the border of the working window, the image is sliding. Then the existant selection is not redrawn. Not really usefull to modify the existant selection.
  • When working with a selection (raster mode), displaying the total size of the selection (X and Y size)
  • All raster tools such as rubber, brush, etc... are very very too slow to use when the size is to high (such as 600 for example and 1 for rigidity). I have a PC with the latest Processor and a lot of memory, no way to use these tools with high size.
  • It would be very usefull to have a new gradient feature : gradient following a bezier curve, not only a line or circle.
  • In the layer list, if a layer have a blend mode different than "normal" the color of the blend mode should be different
  • When working with text, the input box to enter numeric values of the spacing between lines and characters are too small.
  • If the option "Auto preserve" is to OFF, add in the file menu, the possibility to "Save and preserve..."
  • Add the possibility to make boolean action between objects (like the pathfinde of illustrator)
  • Correct the pixel selection problem with Windows Seven 64 when making a selection using the shape of an object. I use it a lot, and I have lot's of problem with this feature. Here is a little video I made to explain the problem
  • Modify the color of the close cross button of an image in tabbed view
Thank you to read me, and sorry for my bad english.

I'd like to see the ability to import the old pp5, etc proprietary files from Picture Publisher (as I still have a number of them), and if it isn't already possible (I may just have missed it), the ability to switch the masking tools to the way they used to work with Picture Publisher. I don't find it as easy to switch between tools, working on the same mask, as it stands in Paintshop Prox3. Very frustrating for me, being as I worked with Picture Publisher since the first version.

PSP X - future is EASY to install but more importantly uninstall. Make this program and all Corel software more user friendly.

Give full/complete instructions when the item is purchased, whether boxed or ESD how to uninstall correctly so people do not have the heartache that Corel instill in folk when they come across problems and have to uninstall their software.

KISS - KEEP IT SIMPLE STUPID!

LeviFiction wrote:Yes I'm very curious about this editable histogram you're talking about. I haven't used DPP in a long time but the video I looked at seemed to suggest it had similar functionality to the "Histogram Adjustment" command under Adjust->Brightness & Contrast->Histogram Adjustment. If there is more to it than that I would be most interested to see what you're referring to.
This explains it better than I can.

Histogram adjust is like the histogram in the RGB tab of DPP, but it's different enough that it's foriegn to me. I use Histogram Adjust for slight changes as I've screwed things up pretty bad with it before trying to do too much. Histogram Adjust will never be as effective as DPP's histogram on a RAW file since DPP is working with the actual RAW file and PSP is working with something that's already been processed to some degree, even when you import the RAW file directly into PSP.

Geotagging in the organizer would be nice or ability to display location info from images with GPS data on a map.

NO, no new features. Fix the damn bugs. The program is pretty useless if it crashes when you try and save your work.

Better still sell it to a company that is actually interested in the program and not just version pumping.

Bugs are currently being worked out of the program as patches for X3, so by the time X4 comes out hopefully most, if not all, of the major bugs currently known will be fixed. Seeing as this is a wishlist for future versions of PSP wishing that the bugs be fixed in X4 is counter productive as it would mean we would have to buy the next version to get these bugs dealt with. So new features would be nice for future versions, bug fixes for the current one. You see how that works?

OK, Levi,

How's this for the wish list, I wish that X4, is given enough beta testing, so it doesn't have all the bugs that X3 has.

But I agree with Nerd3D, and was looking for the E-mail that Jasc sent me years ago, (alas i couldn't find it) that assured me how Corell, would be a great new owner of PSP.

Although I appreciate this board, and how helpful the people here try to be, I'd have never found it, except for the darned "memory" issue.

I have found a work around though, CS5. And it grieves me to say that. Having been a PSP user since PSP5, and having recommended it to all my friends, and many, many people I didn't know, when I was one of the top contributers on Yahoo Answers.

I would like to see the project creator made optional for install. It is of no value to me and I want it gone.

The non-download version (DVD) does give that as an option. It would be nice if Corel offered to let you uninstall just that part as it's rather a waste of disk space.

I have installed Paint Shop Pro X3 with Service Pack 4, and still find a simple problem, which is still not resolved which was not evident in versions prior to X3.

Whenever you copy and paste text, the text that is placed, has all it's descending characters' feet chopped off, if it's an image that you are copying-and-pasting, then the bottom few pixels get truncated from the image when you place it. The only way to avoided this is to draw a line or place another image below what you are copying, then after placing, go in and delete the garbage image after pasting it where you want it. This will avoid truncating your newly placed image. I used Paint Shop Pro X3 every day and this silly nuisance is forcing me to consider other drawing programs, which is difficult for me seeing that I have been a loyal Paint Shop Pro user for the past 11 years (back with it was owned by JASC). I have purchased every upgrade released.
Please fix.
Thank you!!!
