Text on a curve should be addressed through it's own dialog box like in Summit's Logo Design. It shouldn't be a task or time consuming getting your text at the right curvature and size or being read at the bottom. Graphics could really be improved by providing professional designs for web designers and other graphical applications. Adding Swishes would really help while creating Logos and Banners. I really think the filters are decent in the program ( + KP ) but Corel should be able to create about ten great filters ( Eye Candy Quality ) and integrate better lighting for the program. The following Web Site should be a general focus point when creating better applications for PSP. The frames are really cool on this site as well as the lighting software and the filters. Integrating these changes in PSP would be at a relatively small cost compared to the generation of sales. The program has a solid interface and working environment - Now all it needs is the bells and the whistles to make it a great program.

Need better support for RAW file formats, for both the open and save operations.

Hi Richard-psp, Paint Shop Pro in not primary a vector editor, try Inkscape insteed. I tried Summit's Logo Design and it contains a lot of premade objects and others,, in Inkscape you have to make it alone... but still I prefer Inkscape against software like this.

Hi Richard-psp, software/plugins like this MANY times substitute our sense for fantasies as I believe,, they DO our work. I look at them only as inspiration & I never use(...need) something like this.

1) One thing I have always wanted a program to do is to sort portrait from landscape pictures without having to go through 9 steps to do this. It would be really wonderful if I could just select a directory, click on a button, and they are sorted automatically. ie sort by portrait, sort by landscape, sort by width, sort by height, etc or however it could be done.

2) There are a lot of us out here who do not spend the hours needed to figure out what all the capabilities are of any program. We need buttons that will do macros automatically for us without having to figure out how to make a macro. It would be great if there was a button that would turn any picture into a rounded corner image with the cropped area turned transparent automatically.

3) It would be nice to have a link to the forum, a download page for macros, etc, to a support page etc.. included in the program so we do not have to vainly search for where to find the links.

Just a few suggestions from a long time user of PSP who still has not read the manual but who has always found it to be the best program to use. 3's

Would be great if Gif Animation could be included with tools to help us build Cinemapgraphs like the ones here:

Would be awesome to create these.

The crop tool needs the ability to numerically enter the crop coordinates restored.
A Help file that is usable when there is no Internet connection. Ideally a full paper manual, or at the very least a PDF version. It would be very simple to create a PDF file from the current internet only help pages.

The Crop tool is a BIGGIE for me. Currently it is difficult to use. Let's go back to the LEFT, RIGHT, TOP and BOTTOM numerical fields.

I like Lightroom's dynamic updating when using adjustments - for instance, when I'm adjusting saturation, I can see it change as I move the slider. It's much easier to zero in on a desired look when it changes smoothly, as opposed to incrementally as in PSP. If I'm not clear, it's like the difference between a lamp with a 50, 100 and 150 watt bulb, as opposed to a lamp with a dimmer switch, Lightroom having the dimmer switch.

1. Downloader: needs to be updated. Right now if you have multiple folders (days) on your memory stick... the downloader will put all of them into a single target folder on the PC. The downloader should allow creation of target folders based on the actual EXIF date.

2. Organizer: Need to add transparent uploading ability to allow directly and easily uploading to flickr/smugmug/google etc. (Not require people to try to use the "Project" tool which is very very slow.)

3. Organizer: Better dual monitor support. Should be able to put thumbnails on one monitor with preview in another.

4. Organizer: Ability to group similar pictures into a single thumbnail with the ability for hte user to select which one is displayed as the "cover".

5. Organizer: Need to add much better handling of RAW photos. If a raw and a normal photo both exist... the raw one can be "hidden" with the configuration set ability to automatically use it as the "base" when you go to do an edit. Or some manual way to use it when doing a new edit. (For example: You see one thumbnail in the organizer and if you choose "EDIT" then it asks if you want to edit the JPG or convert and then edit the RAW image.)

6. Organizer/Editor: Much better RAW conversion and edit support. Right now it is too much of a hassle and I can't really get the raw images to be as good as the camera manipulated JPG even though theoretically the fourth patch should have added/fixed RAW support for my Pentax K-R. I keep practicing so someday I might be able to... but it should be almost automatic.

7. Editor: Only need one editor; not both a full and express editor. (If desired this main editor can have the ability to toggle between advanced or simple edit.)

8. GPGPU: Much of the image processing can be done on the GPU instead of allowing the CPU to do the job.

9. Tethering: Need ability to tether to various brand and models of camera for "live" shots.

I would LOVE to see PSP be able to open svg files . I would also Love to be able to create and save files as svgs. I use these files with my die cut machine. I know Adobe does this but I have used PSP since version 9 and upgrade every time there is a new version. I know that there are millions of die cut machine users that would also love to have this feature too.

I received a PM from "LeviFiction" and would love to reply but I cannot for some reason. I believe all I would need is the path for svg files. If you could do this I will LOVE YOU FOREVER!! :D :D :D

In the organizer, please develop a more usable keyword editor. Adding keywords one-by one it's simply unusable. Stock photographers do copy/paste the list of keywords separated by commas or semicolons. Currently, adding a list of keywords, separated with commas or semicolons adds the full text, without breaking apart.
Imagine adding 30-50 keywords to each image, up to 30 images per day!
