Can I edit video filmed at 60 fps using Video Studio Pro2 ?

Post by Deacon »

I wanted to know if someone could answer a question about Video Studio Pro 2. I am purchasing a Kodak Zi8 camera and want to shoot action videos in 720 at 60 frames per second. A tutorial I purchased says that the capture settings must match your project settings regarding file format. When I go to Video Studio -File-Project Properties-Edit-General-Frame Rate, my selections are only between 15-30. If I delete the 30 you get a message that says selection must be between 1 and 60. If you enter 60 it will not change to 60 on the description box in Project Properties. Does that mean that I cannot edit movies shot at 60 frames per second and that the max setting for video capture on my camera would have to be 30 frames per second?? That would be a bummer if that were the case. Can you shed any light on this??

FYI- I do not have any video downloaded currently at 60 frames per second. Will the program automatically detect downloaded video at 60 fps and allow me to adjust the description box/settings for 60 fps?

Thanks so much,
Thanks for the help!

Thanks Steve,
I assume that once you have downloaded a captured video to Studio at 60 FPS you will get the box you illustrated that allows me to match the project with the video. Thanks for the help. This is a tremendous resource for the novice. I am so happy I found it!!
