DVD MF 6 Plus - Unable to Join AVCHD MTS Video

Post by rjesse »

If I add 2 or more mts videos from my HighDef camera the join button is greyed out. I am able to join any standard def files I add.

Is this the way it works or a problem.

Joining files

Post by chrish »

I have the same problem with mts files
The answer I have found is to make the orignal HD output files into mpg2 these can be joined in movie factory
The other option is a bit of a fiddle to do but works well
With the mts files on the timeline of movie factory you will see you have the option to export them and save to a file in doing this it automatically turns them into mpg2 files ( with no loss of quality )
Then clear ( delete ) the mts files from the timeline Bring on to the timeline the mpg2 files you have just made and you will find you can now join these together
I hope this is on some help
Regards

Is that a feature or a bug? For a large video that will add hours to the process?

I would assume if it would support mts files then all functions would work!
