What size is needed for Widescreen PAL?

Hi,
I want to create an animation for wide screen PAL. What dimiensions do I set 3D up with? I am surprised this size is not in the drop down menu with thet other formats.

PS The wide screen format I am using is 16:9

16:9 images are squashed into a 720 by 480 size, and then stretched to the proper size when played
