Texture

Thanks for that Ron, I have version X, here is what I am doing, is it correct
In Material Palette click either Foreground+Stroke Color or Back Ground + Fill Color Materials Properties Box opens Tick Texture Box (top right)
Select Texture via drop down arrow Use “ + with 4 arrows” to move text
(by using it from centre of text on image) Stretch text with double headed horizontal or vertical arrows. Hover over black box with “brackets” to alter angle
of text. use transparency if required.
I would like the texture to” show more” in the text, is this just an issue of colours and size.
What does the Frame function do for you in the Mat Palette.

Kenneth, you can adjust the angle and scale of the texture from the box and then you can use some adjust tweaks to your image as well to enhance it. Just play with it until you are satisfied. Not all things work the same with each image or texture.

Or, you can use a plugin texture program to get the effect you want.

You might find that using a Pattern gives you the result you want.
A texture is added to the chosen material as varying opacity, so its appearance also depends on the colour of the underlying layer that shows through the sections of lower opacity. You may even need to have second layer of text of a particular colour underneath your textured text for the effect to work properly.
