Hi Timmy
A little ironical that I am able to create good video without the blips, but don¡¦t need to as I do not have a HD camera.
All my tests are using MTS files from others people.
Have you actually installed the trial version X3.
If not please try it out.
There is a strong feeling that X3 installs other files, probably in the Common folders that seem to cure the problem. For some users.
You don¡¦t give any details of your system, please update your ¡¥profile¡¦

Without having to read through all the posts again, can you confirm that you are able to create good video using the trial X3

Hi
Regards
Phil
While X3 does update some of the common files it doesn't fix the problem for me with blips.trevor andrew wrote:Hi Timmy
The point being that if X3 trial install fixes the problem with X2 then no need to buy.
But it doesn¡¦t seem that easy as the fix is not affecting everyone in the same way.
I¡¦m installing X2 on my laptop now to run tests.
Regards
Phil

I can only go by your 'System' details.
So are you saying that W7 and your xp produces good video.
Sorry about the "System" will update it if I keep this Win 7 machine!
Have loaded X2 onto my old XP machine. (that's the only Corel/Ulead product on that machine) Updated patch and Directx. Used the same two video clips supplied by Xyzzy2 and used the same checker transition. Result BLIPS STILL THERE.Conclusion from my tests:
Updating the DLL in Vista and Win 7 works.
Updating the DLL in XP, Blips still there!

Blip test success
Hi John / all
The installation of X2 and X3 has for me cured the blip problem.
My laptop had X3 installed, but to test I uninstalled X3 and all other Ulead/Corel products.
Followed by a clean / deletion of all remaining files.
Ok
Installed X2
Installed Extra Content
Installed Patch
Carried out a bit of Dll cloning
Installed Bonus Pack and Windvd8
Tried a bit more cloning
Installed latest Direct X
After each process I ran the Blip Test VSP on X2 needless to say it failed each time.
Installed X3
Ran the Blip_Test.vsp on X2, bingo, eureka it works, no blips.
Now both my desktop and the laptop produce smooth video
Interestingly I have yet to launch the program X3.
Not sure what would happen if i just uninstalled it without using????

Does it still happen if you install the X3 trial? (even though it really doesn't matter since I can't seem to install it - see error above)mitchell65 wrote:Hi Trevortrevor andrew wrote:Hi John

I tired a couple different suggestions from a few pages. None of them worked. I'm afraid to do anymore since they're all settings I've never even heard of. Corel does it again! I just want to edit without the blips. UGH!

1) install prox3
2) with the cleantool ,i deleted Prox3.
some "common files" were overwritten (dlls)
known files with "blips" are re-rendered with Pro x2. mostly with a F/X transition. MTS files imported from a sony memory card
No more blips in sound and video !!!!!
ps:vista home
This could be a solution for a lot of desperad people among us!

X3 install
Hi Timmy
I don¡¦t know whats going on with your installation, there is a post 'X3, how to completely uninstall'
http://forum.corel.com/EN/viewtopic.php?t=36983
If your first attempt failed in some way it may have corrupted the install files.
Ron has provided a file Cleanup Utility maybe its worth a try.
I only know that the X3 download and subsequent install is a very slow process.

I was able to install it on another computer. Never even ran X3 - first try on a previous blip file with X2 and NO BLIP! VERY excited. Now if I could just install it on my main computer. One more UGH!!
