What color are you using for your text? By what you're describing, the text is there, however blending in with the frame. What point size are you using for your text? On images that you're intending to print, a 16pt font can be very, very small.
In the Materials Palette, make sure the fill is not set to transparent. PSPP is very versatile, in that you can fill your text with solid colors, gradients, and textures. This goes for both the fill and stroke, which is the outline. So you can have text that has an outline, but no fill, fill but no outline.

Thanks Ron,
Think size was the problem, although I still had to "stretch"
72 to get it bigger

Re: Text
You'll notice that there are two "Units" for text size, "Pixels" or "Points". Use points if the image is to be printed and the text size will be related to your image's resolution. 72 point text will be 1 inch high. (1 inch from the top of a capital letter to the bottom of a letter with a tail like a 'g').Kenneth Veal wrote:Think size was the problem, although I still had to "stretch" 72 to get it bigger
Use Pixels if the image is for screen display.
Most importantly, you don't have to stick to the sizes in the drop down list. You can type in any size you like from 1 to 1638 pixels. To change the size of existing text, it needs to be highlighted in the text entry box, type in the value in pixels and press enter.
