Hi Shim you have no choice about finalizing with the Panasonic DMR=XW300 twin drive but as I said I did find it worked with the DVD-R but not +R didn't have a
dvd-Ram so can't comment on that. Will be very interested to hear your results when you get your machine. Cheers Snowy

First, can we clarify that you are confusing people by referring regularly to 'VSP' (by which I assume you mean Video Studio Pro), especially when you also say 'VSP file'. Unfortunately, however, to most of us 'vsp' refers to the extension used by Video Studio Projects... It would be less confusing if you just referred to VS if you are referring to the overall program and not a specific project (or X2 or VS 12 or VS 11 etc) file.
Next, also a question of terminology, though only indirectly this time --
-- DVD Shrink by its very name makes it clear that it Shrinks ... DVDs! In other words, you have to have something that it recognises as a DVD -- either an actual DVD or at least a DVD Folder on your hard drive which contains the same Audio_TS (empty) and Video_TS folders as are found on an actual DVD disc. Shrink looks, in fact at the whole structure of the DVD and Shrinks all related files. And though the .vob files are in effect mpeg-2 files in disguise, Shrink cannot 'see' an actual mpeg-2 file with the .mpg extension.
In other words, you have to process your project through the VS authoring/burning module and produce a DVD Folder (or actual disc) if you then want DVD Shrink to reduce it in size.

Hi Ken, thanks for all that info, as a new member to this site I didn't realize I was getting my terminologies wrong so now stand corrected.
The info about Shrink is very useful & I now understand what to do. It's amazing what just a little bit of help can do for one, many thanks to all you good & helpful people. Cheers Snowy
