Hi
On the sales web page for Movie Factory 7 Pro it states that there are 100+ template menus so I decided to upgrade my version only to find I have only the same amount of menus 25 plus 4 with Bluray Java
As this product is not supported in the UK I can get no information other than to re install which I have done and also added all the patches
So can someone tell me how many template menus there should be in Movie Factory 7 Pro
Regards
Chris

This is a marketing play... if you count all the different Layouts you can choose for each menu template, the various buttons, and frames that are available, you could easily come up with at least 100 differing menus.
Basing decision to upgrade solely on the amount of menu templates, is a poor decision. For me to layout more cash to upgrade, there needs to be more to it than just menu templates.
FWIW I counted about 60 menu templates. This included all the SmartScene, Thumbnail, and Text menus.

Hi
Thank you for your replies
I thought I might be looking for something that was not there
I do not regret upgrading to Movie Factory 7 Pro I like it as everything is now in one programme and the Bluray Java menus are excellent
If they are planning to issue more menu templates I would be interested ( I know I can make my own but it is handy and quick to have them ready to hand )
Regards
Chris

The number of available menu templates is nothing more than a sales pitch.
In my humble opinion all you need are a dozen (Thumbnail) layouts.
i.e. a menu with
1 thumbnail
2 thumbnails
3 thumbnails
...
12 thumbnails
You then add your OWN background image (I tend to use a still grabbed from within the video itself to make the menu representative of the video concerned) or a short video clip - again taken from the actual video concerned.
Throw in your own background music (If required) and there you go - a personalised DVD menu.
