ESDVSPRX2IEPCPF.exe the latest upgrade of VS X2?

Post by ecbritz »

May I add to my original complaint that I was thoroughly confused by the Corel Support pages and messages. On one page on the Web (I forget where) much is made of the fact that the Serial Number is not the Activation Code and that one must phone a number in the States (or UK) to be given the Activation Code. On downloading the VS X2 product, I was advised not to uninstall the trial version, but to enter into the trial version the Serial Number sent to me in my Confirmation email. This caused the problems I could not solve. However, it seems as if I have solved my problem courtesy of this forum. So thanks once more! I just hope I do have the latest version or upgrade of the program, using the application file ESDVSPRX2IEPCPF.exe!

You will, I hope, realise that we who work on this forum are not Corel employees, but simply users like you who volunteer their time to help out.

Regarding your hope that you have the latest upgrade or version, if it says X2, then you have it -- but it does NOT include the upgrade patches which have been released -- the second of which is only if you use Windows 7. But you should download and install the first patch.

Hi ecbritz

I replied to your other post here:- http://forum.corel.com/EN/viewtopic.php ... ht=#190770

As I said I have that file and it is the correct version X2 Pro.
After the installation you have to install the Extra Content pack to complete the installation.

Where do I find the "first patch"?

Post by ecbritz »

Thanks so much for the advice received about the particular VS X2 installation file I was given to download. I am well aware of the fact that this is a forum site supported by volunteers, and am especially appreciative of help received for that reason. I was told in the advice given to install "the first patch". The "second patch" is apparently not applicable to a Vista User. Where do I find the "first patch"? In the stickies one can read:
"It can be found at http://www.corel.com/servlet/Satellite/ ... 9440480826". But is this the "first patch" I must install? Thanks for your patience! A novice like me is lost without this wonderful help forum.
