Where do I find my activation code for VS X2?

Post by ecbritz »

I wrote a previous posting saying that the serial number provided to me in my Confirmation email is rejected by my newly purchased VS X2 program when I enter this number as the activation code. No activation code was given in the "Confirmation of payment" email, to which one cannot respond. To which email address can I write where the appropriate person at Corel will attend to my problem and from whom I might perhaps get a workable activation code?

VideoStudio X3 ???
Your serial number does not work because that program does not yet exist!

Thanks very much for responding and sorry for my typing error! I mean VS X2 of course. My serial number does not work as an activation code, and there is no such code given in the Confirmation email. I can't find a User Guide for VS X2 on the internet or in the 3 downloaded VS X2 application files. One of the 3 files can't see VS X2 on my computer and won't install. How do I fix all this? Where do I turn in terms of the best email address to write to? Thanks for your appreciated help!

I think that what you might be attempting to do is activate a 30 day try before you buy version. Did they not give you a download link for the Full Version?

See your other post regarding the missing manual.

 As you will see in my other posting, I have been guided by you on the right path. By now, I have installed the program successfully (I think) because no activation key is asked. In the course of my struggles, I downloaded two different VS X2 installation files, namely KEYVSPRX2IETBB.EXE and ESDVSPRX2IEPCPF.EXE . The latter is a slightly smaller file in terms of bytes, but I think that is the one I needed to use in order to utilize my serial number. My next step will be to (re-) install VSX2ProBonusPack_6in1.EXE and VSX2ProContentPack_EN.EXE . If this works, you will not see me here again about this particular matter. If not, I'm afraid you will. Thanks a stack!

I downloaded two different VS X2 installation files, namely KEYVSPRX2IETBB.EXE and ESDVSPRX2IEPCPF.EXE .
Where did these come from? I've never seen any of Corel, Intervideo, or Ulead's products use such naming. I have all 3 version installation files for VS X2 and none of them required or had such a file.

I Googled both these files. It appears the first is a "Trial" download from Corel. The second is an Install Shield software. never seen them before though. Seems the Install Shield has only been seen in the US!

Ok, should have checked out Corel's site first  They changed the file naming for their TBYB. Hard to stay on top of them, when they're constantly changing it.

Hi

As you know I downloaded X2 from the US site.

I have:-

The main program ESDVSPRX2IEPCPF.exe, installed first, serial number/purchase key required,

Extra Contents, VSX2ProContentPack_EN.exe ¡K. installed second, fills the library with goodies..........

Bonus files. VSX2ProBonusPack_6in1 Installs to C/Program files/ Corel/ VS-Installation BCD Files. (additional software + sample clips, need importing to vs manually.

Patch from Corel site¡KVSX2PROPATCH (in my case for Vista)

Finally downloaded Direct X from the Forum link¡XInstalled manually.

I guess that's what happens when Corel release various different versions/packages of their software.
VideoStudio X2 Basic
VideoStudio X2 Pro
VideoStudio X2 Ultimate
Then of course they come out with various bundles every now and then.
