VS Pro X2 won't activate & no User Manual
I bought VS Pro X2 and received an "Official Corel Confirmation and Receipt" for my Order Number. I downloaded and installed (or tried to install) the three installation files provided on my computer. My O/S is Windows Vista Ultimate. My internet connection and all my programs are working fine. When I started to install VS Pro X2, a series of shocks hit me. First, the serial number provided in the Confirmation email was rejected when I tried to activate the product. No activation code apart from the serial number was contained in the Confirmation email, so I'm stumped. Second, the ContentsPack refused to install, reporting that it did not find VS Pro X2 on my computer. (The ProBonusPack did find VS Pro X2 on my computer.) Third, there was no User Manual to be found. So I cannot activate, I cannot install the ContentsPack and I cannot operate VS Pro X2, even as a trial version, because I don't have a user manual. But my money was accepted. Does anybody know how I get out of this fix? Is there perhaps a User Manual in PDF format I can download from somewhere, in case I get the program to activate?

You do not activate VideoStudio X2, when you install it you are asked to enter a serial number. That is all there is to it.
Regarding a manual it should be installed with the program. If by some chance you still cannot find it then there is a copy here:

I just had a Biblical moment, perhaps inspired by a passage about our resurrection on the Day of Judgement ... "And the blind will see". As I uninstalled VS X12 and re-installed it for the fourth time, I noticed, guided by your advice, the box in an installation pane where the serial number must be filled in. I filled in the serial number. And, Halleluja, no activation code required when the VS X2 was finally revealed to me! The User Guide you pointed me to has also downloaded like a dream to my desktop. Now I will try to install the other two applications downloaded with my purchase. Then it will be revealed how far my blessings will stretch today. Thanks a million!
