PaintShop Photo Express won't launch

Post by aafuss »

PaintShop Photo Express will not launch on my computer.

I first disabled the JIT debugger (which then made PaintShop Photo Express unable to launch) then removed and installed PaintShop Photo Express again.

I have Vista SP1-should SP2 be installed?

What can I do to get PaintShop Photo Express to launch?

I do not think that disabling the Just In time Debugger would make any difference. May I suggest you work your way through the following link.

The Just in time dbugger gave 2 error messages when Paint Shop Photo Express launch-it would not launch at all-so that seems is what is causing it to not launch at all.

Maybe updating to Vista SP2 will solve the problem-will try that and report back.

The debugger stops it from launching if the errors won't let it run properly. It's designed for, get this, debugging and making sure it doesn't crash. If it won't let it run, there's a reason for it.

Is Corel aware of this type of issue?

Because of it, I'm currently unable to use it on my PC-I'll contact Corel support and see what they have to say.
