windvd pro 10

Post by wtxgringo »

anyone had any probs using trimension all2hd? when i click this option, screen goes black altho i can hear audio. same thing happens when i click cinema enhancement or sharpen in video enhancement. only way i can view standard dvd is to have upscale clicked. turned off use video hardware acceleration in setup, no difference. am using latest version 10.0.5.163, just bought & downloaded software 3 wks ago, so there's no patches yet for this version, or so i was told by corel email support when i asked them about this. computer is new, HP e9240f windows 7 home prem 64bit, card is radeon hd 4650 realtek hd audio, all drivers up to date with latest versions etc. otherwise, don't have issues with windvd 10 but would like to see these features work if the do. was wondering if it has anything to do with the monitor i'm using, a full hdmi 1080p 2509m HP. don't think the monitor "upscales" on it's own, but maybe so? lol email support hasn't been helpful at all, and i don't feel i should have to pay $15 for a phone call, so any suggestions from users are greatly appreciated!! :D

tried several lower settings, didn't work either lol. that's fine, i'll just "assume" that because i have an hd video card & full 1080p hd monitor that those settings are unavailable for use in my system. guess i could try this program on my xp machine & see how that works huh. thx for the reply tho... :D

Another possibility is - do you have another monitor - either a spare or one attached to another computer that you could temporarily attach to this one. It would confirm if its the HD monitor that is causing the problem.

well, since i originally posted this query, an update downloaded for windvd & then all2hd worked, hoorah! then another update dl'd a month later & now it doesn't work again??? this is getting tiresome. takes forever for a movie to load in windvd, does not in powerdvd which i also have. picture quality is also better in the latter. i had so hoped windvd would be the perfect program, but it's $70 i wasted apparently & that is just taking up space on my computer. tech support has no ideas whatsoever other than the typical response, uninstall/reinstall. why bother. hp told me the same thing when i had issues with just playing a blu ray & it turned out to be a firewall issue. oh well :(
