Ken you just need to click on a color, and the Hex value will be filled in.

Sorry about the above links re Image Shack, I have spent ages trying to get 2 images of dialogue boxes into this post and have come to the end of my patience.Every time I get a different screen and don't know which type of link to use.
They were meant to show that there is no hex box in my version of VS11+
and the above work flow is not working

EDIT: image links fixed. sjj1805 - Administrator

Hi Ken

Customise Star

When you first click the ¡¥star colour¡¦ green square a new window opens.
Same as Kens image in his post above, except the Hex panel should show #00FA00

If you click anywhere on the big panel this should change to match the colour selected.

Are you saying the Hex box is always clear.

It looks as though the Hex Box is just not there at all. That's a GUI problem. I'm not sure at this time, why that would happen. It will probably take a repair if not a full reinstall to correct it. VS is not fully presenting it, yet, errors because there is no Hex values. I was able to replicate the error by simply clearing the value in the Hex box, and clicking OK.

Hex input

Post by Ken Veal »

Thanks Steve for fixing the images, thought I had mastered the Image Shack upload issue but the page has changed and I could not figure out
how to do it and still cant. The Hex box has never been visible as far as I know,-have only just got round to experimenting with this filter.
Thanks Trevor--right clicking worked...great!
