New Fonction for X3: Replace video with another video

This function would be very VERY GREAT.

On the timeline, we would do on an a video a right click on the mouse, and select REPLACE WITH another video wihtout change effects in the begin and the end of the video. Moreover, the next video herits of all effects of the ancient video.

I SAW THIS FUNCTION ON A ANOTHER VIDEO PRODUCT SOFTWARE.

Hi

You can do that with Video Studio.
But the new video file has to be as long or longer than the original.

Imagine what would happen if it was shorter and you want to keep the original editing??????????????
Ok
Select the clip in the timeline
File-Relink
Browse your hard drive for another video file.
Again it has to be the same length or longer.

Also works with images, here length is not a problem.

Adding to this...

I just did a test to see if you could clip the existing video track to a smaller size and then import a shorter clip...it appears to work. All I had to do was delete the extraneous segment that remained from the previous clip.
