Locating library files in VS x2 Pro

Post by mitchell65 »

I need to do a VS x2 Pro re-install. Is there a way that I can save my bespoke libraries and place them in the new installation. I guess I will need to copy the relevant files from the existing setup and then paste them into the new one but I can't find the files. Any guidance appreciated.

To save your custom libraries you must copy them (put them in another folder), then paste them back after you have restored VS.

The library files you need to copy are:
Video = VS_Video.dat
Audio = VS_Audio.dat
Images = VS_Image.dat
(The same format applies to titles, flash, colors, etc.)

They can be found in C:\Documents and Settings\User Name\Application Data\Ulead Systems\Corel VideoStudio\12.0

Edit: Obviously that path is from an XP machine. You are on your own if you have VISTA or W7. :wink:

Hi John

X2 has the ability to export the library.
Go to Tools - Library Manager¡XExport Library

At a later date you can then import the library
