Born and bred in Melbourne. I was a high school teacher but decided to resign in order to spend a year or two in Europe. Soon found work as an English teacher in Germany, married a German Mädchen and lived in Switzerland, Turkey and finally here in the south of France where we are both retired. Since childhood mad on photography and, for the last few years on camcorder video. Three times on holiday in the American West, California and Arizona - a great country and wonderful people! Three times back to Australia - also a great country and people! These holidays were and still are on an exchange basis - an exchange of motor homes. We would not care to travel any other way. Alas, these trips were with a DV camcorder, my present HDV camcorder is so much better! Last year we went to South Africa. Had an exchange with a 4x4 VW California, latest model. Had a wonderful trip and intend to go back this year. This time we will also go into Botswana - into the wild! We have an exchange with a Toyota Hilux with a tent. Adventure - hope to be rubbing noses with the lions.
We are nature freaks and animal lovers. The poverty in Africa is distressing, but we avoid towns and cities.
