Slide shows with MediaOne
I am trying to organise a slide show with MediaOne that allows me to advance the slides Manually: Is there a way to do this ? as I want to be able to vary the time each slide is displayed to allow for any discussion that may arise. So far I have only found automated ways of advancing slides.

No this is not possible with MediaOne. The slideshows created are video files. They will continually play, until someone presses the pause button on whatever video player is being used to view them. While you can vary the duration each photo is displayed, the video will continue on.
There are some good slide presentation software programs out there. These produce actual slide-show presentations, that can be manually controlled, much like MS Power Point. You need to Google for something like slide-show presentation software. If you don't have MS Power Point there is an excellent freebie contained in the open source suite called Open Office.org.
FWIW, MediaOne is a EOL (end of life) product. Corel no longer sells or supports it. I must say that it had a real short life too.
