Video Studio 12 Unable to load Library

Video Studio 12 Unable to load Library
Hi I just bought Video Studio 12 and I've had this twice on the same project. When I go to save as MPEG2 it starts rendering and then when I come back I see a message "Unable to load library". I have the files I'm using in a folder and have created a folder in the Manager that I loaded all the files to. Some of them I trimmed down and saved them as a MPEG (because I had so much junk on some of the clips, about 100, that it was slowing my PC down trying to work with such big files) then loaded that MPEG into my folder on my PC and in the Video Studio12 folder. The original that I used to make the smaller clip from, I moved to an unused folder on my PC. I figured since I made the clip into its own MPEG it didn't matter where the original was. All of the clips I'm trying to render, work in the Video Studio 12, as far as playing and editing.
Any ideas why this is happening?

Thank you for the help. Can I SCREAM and say why are these transitions in here if they don't work!!! I spent hours trying everything yesterday, including the latest service packs and fixes from the Corel Support page, changing the length of the video, shutting down everything, adjusting settings suggested on Corel and all it took was removing an effect!!!
Yes it did work.
My question now is, how can you tell which effect you have in your storyboard? I had an hour and a half of clips with auto added random transitions, and I couldn't tell what was what so I had to go back and manually delete all of them, then add them back in minus the "3D" ones to be safe. I tried to right click on a transition for properties but there weren't any.
I will post this as a seperate question, but I went to my programs folder on my PC, found Video Studio 12 and went through every folder and couldn't find the actual folder with the transitions. I wanted to delete the 3D so I could use random and not worry about having them show up. Can you tell me the name of the folder they are in?
And related to effects, is there a way to default change the background color for all of the effects so I don't have to change them one at a time from the common green I see? I want to use black but don't want to change each one one at a time. If there is a folder with that color background in it I could do that but I don't where to find it.
Thanks.

NOTE TO SELF.....Search for answer before posting...I found the folder through a post but is it OK to delete the "bad" effects?dchbbc wrote:Happy New Year Everyone!mitchell65 wrote:A search of this Forum shows numerous times when this subject has come up. This should help you:

I would not recommend deleting, however you could try just renaming. Just add an X to the end of the name. VS will not recognize it. However it may also need to see all the transitions. Instructions stored in the DAT files may need to load all of them, and if one is missing, may throw the whole program into a fit.

Switch to Storyboard view and the transitions show as thumbnails...
Select the transition and the name appears below the digital clock.
Use the arrow keys to navigate to the next transition.
To remove the transition hit the delete button.
Double click a transition in the library and it will insert in the first available space, a little quicker than drag and drop, thats assuming you want an effect between every clip.
If this is the case, remove all unwanted transitions first, then double click the ones you want.

Well...because they do work, for me and most other people. Why they don't work for some is certainly a conflict somewhere with your system. Can I SCREAM and say why are these transitions in here if they don't work!!!

Re: Video Studio 12 Unable to load Library
I had the same problem - and many hours of frustration trying to solve it but have now found the problem - and a work-around solution. On my computer 5 of the 3D effects and all of the Flips in the Album one are either missing or corrupted. Whether this is a fault of the program or an error in my download of the files is beyond me at the moment. Reinstalling the program didn't solve it.
The rogue transitions show up as thumbnails and will be installed at random when using the "Apply transitions effects to all clips" button - but they don't actually work as the underlying file is either missing or corrupted. Unless you have an eagle eye when checking your video, the first you'll know of the problem is when you get the "[19151:3:3] Unable to load library" message whilst creating your video file.
After the needle in the haystack approach over many hours to identifying the problem I have now figured out how to identify the rogues quickly.
Go to the "Effect" tab. Open up the "3D" folder and click each transition individually. Working ones will play in the preview screen, faulty ones will show up as a black screen. Doing this to all the folders showed I have 12 rogue transitions in 2 of the folders. I haven't yet figured out how to delete or repair them though (I asked Technical Help that this morning and will no doubt get a reply in the next day or two)
As for future videos (unless a solution can be found):
- Go to the Storyboard view
- In the Storyboard start at the beginning and click on each of the transitions you have used. Working ones will display, rogue ones will show as a black screen
- Replace each black screen rogue with a known working one that displays correctly (by drag and drop)
Hopefully this answer will help others in the future. The web seems to be full of the question but no answers!

Re: Video Studio 12 Unable to load Library
I have had this a number of times in the past and have since come across the same problems here. As for whether there is a patch for this i have not seen anything available as i have only just joined this site. I wanted to post what i had found but as with another recent post i have not deleted these rogue transitions which seem to be causing this not able to load library error. However i would have thought that others who have since found the rogue transitions would have displayed them here so we all know what to steer clear of.
So i have made a small list.
So here they are: In 3D FLYING BOARD/ FLYING FOLD/ FLYING CUBE/ FOLDING BOX/ FLYING FLIP
ALBUM: NONE HERE WORK
So make a note of the above and steer clear of using them or if you have and your project wont save an comes up with the Cannot Load Library Error It is most likely going to be down to your Transitions. Just go back through your project and make sure you have not used a rogue Transition.
If anyone can tell me how to remove them then that would be most kind. However i will be going through the programme again and will attempt to find these transitions and if possible i will remove them. If i damage anything i can always load it all back in again! Well i hope this helps someone...GOOD LUCK
